Why
- Purchasing eco fashion is an investment, not an expense
- These are long lasting pieces, not throwaways that require frequent replacement
- Let’s not forget why you are seeking eco fashion in the first place, the environment and our planet’s future
- Less is more. Many pieces can be worn in multiple ways, versatility requires a smaller wardrobe

- Choose your pieces carefully by thinking about wardrobe staples and classics
- Think need, purpose and your personal style (do not buy anything that may end up in your closet a year later with a tag still on it)
- Buy to replace worn or fad pieces (it is not green to buy more clothing, eco or not, to replace perfectly wearable clothing)

- Buy neutrals or basic colours first as these will go further in the long-term, as well as immediately to complement your existing non-eco clothing
- If your weight fluctuates, buy one size up and choose styles that allow for belts or other accessories to form as needed
- Select pieces that are versatile – your purchase should be able to be worn in a minimum of two ways
